The premise behind the game is familiar. Larry is left by the girl he wooed in the previous game (count that five times out of six) but manages to get tickets to a cruise, where there are quite a few luscious babes to be had. Of course, Larry can get every girl he desires just like any normal person would do–bring them an obscure item. All of this practice will allow him to bring the super item to the ship’s captain who will ensure Larry has the ride of his life.
I jest a bit. There are quite a few puzzles in this game and they are not all of the lock-and-key variety. Some are fun and logical, some are fun and stupid, and some are just stupid. But since the last couple of games did not list “brain” under the requirements section, all puzzles are welcome. The cartoon graphics actually work well, in that they don’t completely clash with the game environment.
Gameplay is fairly intuitive and there were few times I felt myself annoyed at the production values. Uploaded Turbobit Depositfiles Extabit Bitshare Putlocker junocloud Ultramegabit Brutalsha Lumfile.
Is there any way to make this game run in full screen and not 'windowed'? For example, if I hit alt-enter on something like DosBox, it'll take up the whole screen. Yet.when I do that with Leisure Suit Larry 6, absolutely nothing happens. I tried maximizing it but it just looks terrible.
The screen stays the same size and shifts all the way to the upper-left corner and then everything around the characters is black. I know there's a way to make it completely full screen cuz I remember playing it like that years ago. Is it because of XP? I can't run the game in DosBox cuz LSL 6 is a Windows game.
Thanks for reading! Well, the good news is that there is a DOS installation of the game on the CD so I installed the DOS version of LSL6. I tried running the Windows version with Compatibility but I still get the same problem as before, minus the characters being surrounded by black. Hopefully, I can fullsize LSL7 when I play it, since it's more of a recent game than LSL6. Anyways, I guess I'll play the DOS version of LSL6. However, if anyone has any info on how to fullsize the Windows version (as if you were to press alt-enter), let me know.
Much appreciated. Thanks for the help by the way. EDIT: I just noticed the sound isn't that great in the DOS version compared to the Windows version. I was testin out the sound in both Windows and DOS and for some reason Windows sounds better.
Maybe cuz I set the wrong sound card in config? I selected soundblaster for the sound (I believe) and something else for the music. Wasn't LSL 7 made around the same time as Monkey Island: Curse of Monkey Island? The weird thing is when I play Monkey Island: Curse of Monkey Island, it runs perfectly fine and I can play it in full-screen mode. I guess it's because the default config is set to full-screen, never actually looked into it.
There has to be a file containing the default settings, but I can't find it. If I do find, maybe I can manually set the game to run in full-screen mode rather than windowed mode. EDIT: I think I found a solution. After googling for a while I found this on mobygames.com.

'After installing the game you may restore your favorite Appearance settings. Also, if you want to run the game in full screen you must change the screen resolution to 640x480.
If there is no such option under 'Display Properties', enter the folder where Larry 7 is installed (probably C: Sierra LSL7) and select 'Properties' by right-clicking on SIERW5.EXE. Then go to 'Compatibility' options and select 'Run in 640x480 screen resolution'. Now run SIERW5.EXE. Everything should be fine now.
I know Jorpho suggested that I do the Compatibility but I didn't do the other part. Anyways, I'll test it out later and let you all know if it works. EDIT: NVM.it is what Jorpho suggested.
There are some versions of DOSBox out there compiled with support for Roland MT32 emulation, which can definitely make the MIDI sound 'different'. (I wouldn't necessarily say 'better'; I think some musicians recognized the limitations of the popular MIDI devices at the time and purposefully wrote music that made full use of their specific capabilities, such that playing it on a more sophisticated device robs the music of some of its quality. Or maybe not.) Anyway, the MT32 emulation is of questionable legitimacy; it is my understanding that Roland went after the people who first came up with it, but had to back down when they couldn't fully substantiate their claims. You'll have to do a bit of hunting for it (along with the necessary MT32 ROMs), but it shouldn't be too difficult.
Yeah, I tried it aswell, still windowed. It's bizarre to me that with these 2 particular games alt-enter is like disabled. I was trying to run a LSL pinball game and like the game disabled the down arrow key. Basically, I couldn't launch the ball at all. The pinball game is also windowed. EDIT: Well the compalibility DOES work for LSL 7, it displays in full-screen but it doesn't work with LSL 6.
That site has tons of information on getting the older Leisure Suit Larry games to work. It also has info on King's Quest. Oh, so Alt-Enter didn't work back then. I did not know that. I thought it did.
But wait.how the heck did I put it in full-screen then? On the pinball game, I think I did hit num-lock and it still didn't work. I'll try again and let you know. EDIT: Yeah, I hit num-lock and I can't still launch the ball. I can't even launch it by holding the left mouse button and releasing it. According to SpaceQuest.net, the program doesn't work properly under Windows 2000 (and XP).
I downloaded it from somewhere, and yes, it won't work. 'Talkie' version of LSL 6 means the voice version. All the characters talk with actual voices.
I just installed it cuz I noticed my LSL Collection Series has it. Graphics are really nice and the interface is nice (look at the right pic on the website I linked above) and the guy who does Larry's voice is the same guy who does his voice in LSL 7. Also, the narrator from LSL 7 is in the talkie version of LSL 6 as the narrator as well. Alas, it is windowed and I can't adjust the size of it either. Also, for some bizarre reason, Larry walks extremely fast.
Yeah, that's the one I mentioned b4 with the music. About the walking in the talkie version, I wonder if Larry was meant to walk that fast or maybe it's just my comp. Also, I noticed in this pic, that my talkie version doesn't have that top and buttom bar. It definately looks like the Macintosh version. Also Larry is to the left in my version like in this pic,.Larry walking so fast is caused by your CPU's speed. I remember the Gabriel Knight Mysteries set saying that you needed to use a program to take up cycles off your computer so you could bypass a few sections, most notably the Mostly/Bread scene in the police department.
As for that screenshot over at ibiblio. Isn't that a Windows 3.1 menu on top of the game?
